In Death Reading Challenge – Perpetual

Perpetual Challenge

Looks like this perpetual challenge started back in 2010 and I tried one last year but since I know I want to read the whole series, the perpetual challenge is much better.

REVIEW: Loyalty in Death

Title: Loyalty in Death
Author: J.D. Robb
Finished: December 20, 2011
Pages: 358
Published: 1999
Format: paperback

In the latest Eve Dallas story in my progression, Eve is faced with possibly the worst terrorist group so far and with every passing minute her team and her husband come closer to death.

I found this book to be better than last, I don’t know how each one can continue to be better than the others, but I found myself on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting to find out what happens next.

I feel like this book is leading up to a key point in Eve and Roarke’s life and I can’t wait to pick up the next book.

REVIEW: Conspiracy in Death

Title: Conspiracy in Death

This was an especially good book as it showed a side of Eve we have never really seen before – completely helpless.

When Eve and Peabody are called to a scene where a homeless man had his heart removed, they didn’t expect to find Eve becoming the target of harassment and accusations from a fellow cop.

It doesn’t take long for this to lead to a conspiracy against Eve and Roarke like they’ve never seen before.

The books just keep getting better and better.

REVIEW: Midnight in Death

Title: Midnight in Death
Author: J.D. Robb
Finished: November 13, 2011

Published: 1998
Format: paperback

My first J.D. Robb novella, and it was a great read. I’m a huge Eve Dallas fan and look forward to every book I get to pick up and enjoy about Eve.

In this specific story, Eve and Roarke celebrate their first Christmas together but before they can truly enjoy it, Eve is called away to the murder of a judge. The note included at the scene is a wish list of public figures the murdered hopes to kill.

Eve finds herself fighting with Roarke about her safety but knows she is the only one who can truly bring this killer down and save lives of others.

REVIEW: Holiday in Death

Title: Holiday in Death
Author: J.D. Robb
Finished: October 9, 2011
Pages: 326
Published: 1998
Format: paperback

I’m loving this series more and more with every book and I’m so excited to eventually catch up.

In the latest adventure Eve is searching for a holiday serial killer and the only connection is a dating site and the employees are either too helpful or unwilling to talk.

With the help of her friends, co-workers and husband, Eve tracks down the only link between the deceased and Personally Yours, the dating website. While in the process, Eve finds out that despite her hard outer shell, she can not always protect those she loves or hide her feelings when it comes to survival.

This was another great time in the lives of Eve and Roarke. The next one is even better who who knows what is in store for the future books.
