REVIEW: The Sinner

I am in love the with Jane Rizzoli series, as much as I love the show. I can’t wait to continue the series through 2012 and it just might be my go-to series this coming year, especially with the new Jane Rizzoli Challenge.

In The Sinner, Jane finds herself searching for a killer who targeted a convent and two nuns. While it’s hard to imagine who could do such a thing in a holy and sacred location, Jane uses everything she can to find the true killer, even talking to a young witness.

Jane and Maura are closer than even and drawn to the shock of who could commit such a crime.

The Apprentice

Published: 2002
Format: Paperback

I am definitely starting to love this series, especially after watching the first season of the series, the first two books really help bring more motivation and emotion into the series and the background information is amazing for understanding the characters.

In The Apprentice, we find Rizzoli facing her worst fears all over again when the surgeon resurface, threatening the carefully balanced life that she has now that she put him behind bars. But all that changes so fast, Rizzoli isn’t sure what or who she can believe or trust. At every turn, the surgeon is waiting and taunting.

I can’t wait to sink into the next adventure.

After starting to watch the new TV show on TNT, Rizzoli & Isles, I heard it was based of a great series and I knew I had to check it out.

Jane Rizzoli is a rookie cop, the only girl in her division, and at this point the butt of every joke and all the female commentary in the office. All she wants is to be one of the boys, track down killers and save lives, but it’s nearly impossible.

When a series of brutal killings against sexual assault victims come to Boston, it’s not long before they find a connection between Boston and Savannah, Georgia were a series of similar murders took place.

One survivor is all that remains to help them try to piece together this puzzle of the mysterious surgeon who is slowly becoming the most feared man in Boston and amongst women. Rizzoli finds herself facing a moral dilemma – she wants the surgeon so bad that she puts her career at risk and becomes a bigger target for everyone in the department, and a possible liability.

To prove she is a good cop, perfect for the job, and just as capable as any man, Rizzoli begins her own fight by secretly searching for the surgeon herself, and stumbles upon the most unexpected.
