Adventures of Tom Sawyer

Title: Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Author: Mark Twain
Finished: October 1
Pages: 272
Publisher: Penguin Classics
Publish Year: 2006
ISBN: 0143039563

The beginning of all the Tom and Huck adventures, with the boy Tom Sawyer who befriends Huck Finn, and creates mischief all over town and in school, before coming into a large fortune of money.

I enjoyed this story more than I did Adventures of Huck Finn, however they were both about the same, except one boy is mannered and the other is wild, and their adventures of are different sorts.

It’s hard to see why this one didn’t make it on the 1,001 Books list when Huck Finn did, as they are both amazing journey’s.

888 Challenge (2008)

Like many readers out there, or those affiliated with Library Thing, I decided to keep pushing myself with the 888 Challenge, putting me at least reading 64 books a year. Of course, you have the option to overlap 8 titles within your 8 categories, but my hope is that I can have 8 original categories with 64 books, and then some.

Since I’ve never done a challenge as such, it’s been fun figuring out where all my books will go and also seeing what I read the most of.

(EX) = Extra Credit
Updated 10/14: The Tempest and Antony and Cleopatra added to Shakespeare. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and The Marvelous Land of Oz added to Children/YA. Wicked added to TBR Pile.
Update 10/16: Moll Flanders added to People and Venus and Adonis added to Shakespeare.
