Mid-Event Survey

1. What are you reading right now? Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke

2. How many books have you read so far? I have finished 5, one was previously started, and about to finish another

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? Hmm … I think possibly Living Dead in Dallas or Violets are Blue.

4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day? I didn’t, however I was interrupted (happily) to babysit for a few hours. I can read from here and there’s internet so it’s all good.

5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? I just had one. Had to go babysit for a couple hours but I got a little reading and a lot of blogging in. I welcome the “forced” break. I needed it.

6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? I’ve enjoyed the edition of twitter and watching everyone’s comments. I also didn’t have google reader last year so that has been convenient so I don’t have to search so many pages and they all come ot one place.

7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? I think it’s awesome and perfect.

8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year? So far nothing. Maybe have more snacks lying around the house.

9. Are you getting tired yet? I was a few hours ago and I know for sure I will be later, but since I switched locations and had dinner I’ve been more awake.

10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered? So far I think everything is awesome. It’s all about balance of time between reading and catching up. I can’t wait to go back in the next couple days and see everything I missed.
