Challenge Update – November

A few more challenges down, into the extreme home stretch of the year, hopeful I can complete quite a few more before December 31. I’ve added more challenges than I ever expected for next year, too many to pass up. Hopefully I won’t get too stressed out and my reading will follow suit.

I plan to also for 2010 add in 30 Books to Movies Challenge, Genre Book Challenge, Book Blogger Recommendation, What’s in a Name 3, Chill Baby Chill, but the posts have not been created yet.

It’s Monday. What are you Reading?

It’s Monday! What are you reading this week? is a weekly event to list the books completed last week, the books currently being reading, and the books to be finish this week.

I didn’t manage to finish any books the past week. I made another dent on Gone With the Wind and started another book for work. With so many in progress I have no idea when I will actually finish one.

Reading This Week

  • Power Ambition Glory by Steve Forbes
  • Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
  • Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
  • Dangerous Days of Daniel X by James Patterson
  • 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey

What’s on Your Nightstand – November

Well, this past month wasn’t as productive as I had hoped. I keep repeating the same list with no change. I hope that come next year I will be better about my reading and not fall into such a deep hole at the end of the year. I read 4 books off the past list, among others, completed many challenges, and am on a race to the finish line.

November List

  • Double Cross (999 Challenge)
  • Spook (Fall Into Reading)
  • The Shack (Fall Into Reading)
  • Secrets of the Morning (Fall Into Reading)
  • Gone With the Wind (Chunkster)
  • Cross Country (Series Challenge)
  • House on the Stand (book club)
  • Dangerous Days of Daniel X (Fall Into Reading)
  • Pretties (Fall into Reading)
  • either Emma or Poisonwood Bible (Fall Into Reading/Chunkster)

  • Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
  • Dangerous Days of Daniel X by James Patterson
  • Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
  • Spook by Mary Roach
  • Secrets of the Morning by V.C. Andrews
  • The Shack by William P. Young
  • Are These My Basoomas I See Before Me by Louise Rennison
  • Power, Ambition and Glory by Steve Forbes
  • Scarecrow of Oz by L. Frank Baum
  • Tik Tok of Oz by L. Frank Baum
  • Daniel X: Watch the Skies by James Patterson

I am hopeful that I will make great progress on this list over the next month. With a combination of young adult/children’s books, a read-a-thon, and headway on the chunksters, I will be finishing more this month than last month.

What did you recently finish? Emma by Jane Austen

What do you think you’ll read next? The Shack by William P. Young, Spook by Mary Roach, and Secrets of the Morning by V.C. Andrews

Still working on the same books, except one. Hopefully I will get a lot of reading done this weekend and will be able to check a couple more off the list.
